We live in a world today that needs to be connected with other people. On Thursday mornings, I have the privilege of connecting with other pastors in the Attleboro area for a time of connection, fellowship and praying one for another. I look forward to this time of just being able to be with other brothers who serve the Lord!
As I blogged about yesterday about the need of connection, and that God's Word says that we are built like a building and one brick is dependent on the other.
Another picture of this connection that is needed today is that we are to be JOINED TOGETHER LIKE A BODY.
Romans 12: 4-5 tells us in the Living Bible - "Just as there are many parts to our bodies, so it is with Christ's Body. We are all parts of it, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. So we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others."
We need to realize that we are the Body of Christ here on this Earth. We are His hands, His feet, etc. We all have a part in fulfilling His purpose of connecting with people today. Being a part of His Body means that we are a part of something that is bigger than ourselves, and if we do not do our part, the entire body is impacted in a negative way!
Let us truly be the Body of Christ and connect with God, connect with one another, so that we can connect with our World! This is a great time of the year as we prepare for Resurrection Sunday to connect with people that need the Reality of the Resurrection!
There is so much in the world about Easter with the Bunny takeing full attention now is the time to connect with the world about the true meaning of the Reserection. The world has taken Christmas and turned it into Winter holliday,The Rainbow into a Gay symbol and Reserection Sunday to be eggs and bunnys. Maybe the world has drifted so far off because of the Church, boy that sure includes me from my comfort zone, has not conected with each other and the world as Pastor has said. This is an important message at an important time. I doubt it is random,I believe God is speaking to his people through Our Pastors.Maybe we should act like He's serious.
