God is so faithful and is still saving people from sin, and from self. The Bible tells us - "That the angels in heaven rejoice over one sinner that comes to Christ." I am rejoicing over the 15 people that accepted Christ yesterday in our Revival services. Please keep these special services in prayer that we will have a "Real Encounter" with the Lord.
I want to invite you to our services tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday night as Greg and Robyn Hubbard will be leading these services. Also for all children we have a great VBS going on as well!
Keep rejoicing, because God is still on the Throne!

GETTING PAST YOUR PAST!
How many people have a hard time getting over their past? Isaiah 43: 18-19 - "Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing." I am praying for God to do a new thing in my life, and in the life of our church.
When God determines your future, He does not consult your past. We see this throughout the Word of God:
Look at Mary Magdalene - a prostitute. But after she came to Christ, she was one of the last people to leave the Cross. (Matthew 27: 55-61)
Look at Peter - a fisherman with and anger problem. But when he was filled with the Holy Spirit, he preached and thousands came to Christ. (Acts 2: 40-41)
Look at Jacob - his name means deceiver. But God gave him an extreme makeover and changed his name to Israel which means, A prince with God."
Look at Paul - before Christ throwing Christians into jail and even killing followers of Christ. When Paul came to Christ he was mightily used by God to see people come to Christ!
This morning stop dwelling on your past, and let God change your future! "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

CONTENTMENT
This past Sunday, I shared a message on "The Joy of Contentment." Here are a few additional thoughts from Philippians 4:12 - "I have learned the secret of being content."
Sometimes contentment means:
1. Learning to be content with less. We all desire more, but we need to learn to be content with less. I read a story this morning, about a missionary who was ministering in a leper colony and they were singing the hymn - "Count Your Blessings." As he was leading this song, a lady came to the front and her face was almost beyond recognition, and she lifted up her hands in worship and had only 1 finger left. He had to leave the service, and when others came to him. They said - you will probably not be able to sing that song again. He replied, I will sing it again, but will be sung differently.
2. Reminding yourself that things could be worse. Remind yourself that the next time, when maybe you have very little to eat, but at least you have something to eat.
Compared to a vast majority of people in the world, we are still blessed!
3. Understanding that true contentment comes from the spiritual and not the material. We look for the things of this world to satisfy us, when they cannot. Augustine said - "Our souls will never rest, until they rest in God."
Let us never stop learning to be content!!

ARE WE CONTENT?
Tomorrow morning, we will be continuing the series "Top Ten Verses". I will be speaking from Philippians 4 - "I have learned to be content...." This is a very hard thing in the world we live in today! I want to encourage you to read this chapter and come and ask the Lord to help us to learn to be content.
You may say, I can not be content. Paul went on to say "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
Just a reminder when you come tomorrow, please be careful with all the construction going on. But we will have AC in the sanctuary!
Praise the Lord - the Lord is good!
